Supa Stik wins global labelling award

At a gala event held in Chicago in conjunction with the LabelExpo Americas trade show, Supa Stik also took out the Judges’ Recognition for Design award for its winning entry.

The win continues a streak of awards success for the West Australian printer, which earlier this month picked up the ‘alcoholic beverage’ award at the Asia Pacific and Japan Digital Print Awards ceremony for HP Indigo users.

The company also took out the global award at last year’s event.

This year’s contest attracted 312 entries – up 36% on last year – from HP Indigo customers in 26 countries.

Alon Bar-Shany, vice president and general manager of HP’s Indigo division, said: “As the increase in industry participation in this contest shows, digital is more than holding its own in mainstream labels and packaging, as HP Indigo press capabilities and applications continue growing.

“Brands are realising the tremendous value and versatility digital printing offers. As a result, we are seeing a wider variety of high-quality labels and packaging produced on our presses.”
