TelePresence receives InterTech

The TelePresence is the first customer service of its type and is based on the idea that remote diagnosis to assist customers in making repairs to themselves saves time and costs. It enables MAN Roland’s experts to detect and analyse causes of press problems and provides the press operator with virtual assistance in carrying out repairs.

Press availability and productivity is increased considerably as an integrated Maintenance Manager ensures that routine maintenance is performed at precisely the intervals in which it is required, based on how the machine is actually used.

InterTech judges said the TelePrensence “puts the remote diagnostician right in the press room, shoulder to shoulder with the press operator”.

TelePresence was introduced at drupa 2004 and is currently being used in 28 countries.
