In addition, it recently won a silver medal at the SGIIA awards in Sydney, and is a finalist in two categories of the Westpac North Shore business awards.
According to one of the judges at the Pride In Print awards, the company produces the country’s best textile print on T-shirts.

NZ Pride in Print judge Ross Clarke says Terrabyte Screenprint has taken garment printing to a new level and is, ‘without doubt’, at the top of its field in the New Zealand.
“They have achieved sharpness of print, fineness of detail and good colour strength, while retaining a soft hand feel to the print – something that has only been achieved in the past with transfer prints.”
Clark, who is the Managing Director of Universal Screen Supplies Group, says the Terrabyte team’s high level of understanding of the screen printing process has allowed them to think outside the square and achieve the very best.
Lowe and Thodey, who have each been in the industry for more than 20 years, say the success of the high quality multicolour process has ensured the business, which opened just two years ago, has grown rapidly.
“The process is founded on leading edge technology which means Terrabyte can easily handle jobs other screen printers would find difficult – or even impossible,” says Lowe.
Thodey says the gold medals are great for business and the company’s credibility as well as providing recognition of the company’s ability to produce outstanding results.
The Pride in Print Awards are designed to acknowledge and recognise excellence in the New Zealand printing industry. This year they attracted more new entrants than ever before and 110 gold medals were awarded, more than in any previous year.
The Awards do not have category winners as entries are judged on their own merits and not compared with other entries. A total of 53 judges, comprising at least two experts in each of the 51 Award categories, evaluate the entries.
Terrabyte Screenprint is located on Constellation Drive in the Mairangi Bay Estate on Auckland’s North Shore.
