Third Fogra certification for IPMG

The Fogra PSO certification is achieved with consistent and predictable colour reproduction to ISO 12647-2 standards, according to the printing group. It is expected that IPMG sites in Queensland and Victoria will soon join their NSW colleagues in Fogra certification.

Tony Dedda, managing director of Hannanprint says, “We are proud of achieving the FOGRA PSO certification and particularly pleased to have attained the highest possible mark in doing so.”

He continues, “This certification is highly prized and widely regarded as the toughest benchmark in the global print industry. To achieve a perfect pass mark verifies Hannanprint’s ongoing and relentless commitment to quality.”

Kayell Australia who oversaw the certification outlines that certification is linked to specific printing sites, presses, processes and people and even large groups such as IPMG need to implement it at site level.

Meanwhile, Robert Gatto, director of Kayell Australia says Hannanprint, who scored 100 per cent in the certification process should be commended but adds that Fogra PSO is an on-going process with re-testing every year to maintain certification.

He says, “The benefits for both printers and their customers are considerable and PSO also makes life more enjoyable for production staff since they are working to known, measurable standards.”

Gatto continues, “The old days of finger-pointing when colour goes astray are ending fast. PSO under Fogra is the stake-in-the-ground that unites all those involved in print production, to a common purpose.”
