Time is running out for newspaper printers to register for the biggest newspaper event of the year, the annual Panpa conference. The 2014 Future Forum will take place from August 20-21 in Sydney, the first day is being held at the Establishment Hotel and the second in the Ivy Ballroom. This focus this year is on new ways to Get Closer to readers and commercial partners.

The Print and Production seminars take place on the first day. Registration opens at 12.30pm, beginning at 1.30pm with keynote speakers including Mark Hollands, CEO of The Newspaper Works, investigating the State of the Industry. Campbell Reid, group editorial director with News Corp Australia, will then explore Where Now for Our Content. Marcus Hooke from News Corp Australia looks into Moving from Management to Leadership in the Press Centre. At 3.30 presentations will continue with a Print Centre case study, following with a focus on the demands of occupational health and safety in the workplace, and new approaches to environmental sustainability the industry has obligations to support.
