TV star drives rush on National Print Awards tickets

The star power at the 20 April event has been further boosted by the late addition of comedian Tommy Little to the line-up.

Awards chairman John Wanless, managing director of Melbourne-based Bambra Press, said he was delighted by the positive reaction to Zemiro.

“Given the sales so far, I’d say we’ll reach capacity with no problems at all this year, so if you’re thinking of coming along, book early to avoid disappointment,” he said.

Wanless said the RockWiz presenter thought the ‘Greatest Hits’ theme would suit her well.

“She’s told us she’s really looking forward to having some fun with that on the night. For her, it definitely adds a bit of extra enjoyment to be able to run with that musical theme, and we are definitely anticipating a very entertaining night, with her lovely effervescent personality and quirky sense of humour.”

Wanless said he was also delighted by the addition of Melbourne Comedy Festival performer Little, who he described as “one of the most affable, charming and instantly funny guys you’ll ever come across”.

The awards night will be a showdown between the 182 jobs that triumphed at each state and territory’s Print Industry Craftsmanship Awards (PICA). The 2012 PICAs will be held between August and November.

The National Print Awards will be held at the Crown Casino. Tickets are $160, and bookings close at 4pm on Tuesday. Click here to book or contact Mandy at the Printing Industries Association of Australia on mandyp@printnet.com.au or (03) 8541 7310.
