The association says it has focussed on maximising the learning opportunities that visitors can access at Digital Printing Europe adding its Digital Innovations Showcase Theatre programme spans the three-day exhibition, comprising 18 free-of-charge sessions hosted by world-leading authorities.

According to event organisers, seminars are highly relevant to the current economic climate, with topical sessions provided by companies such as Durst, EFI, Epson, ESKO Graphics, Mutoh and Robert Horne Group.

Seminar topics will include:

  • Maximising profit with inkjet
  • Interweaving print technology
  • The practical aspects of operating UV inkjet printers
  • The differences between digital and traditional printing
  • Sustainable printing.

At the event, Fespa’s own stand will provide an additional stage for industry learning, with interactive debates and interviews with key digital print figures. Issues and challenges currently faced by printers in the wide format arena will be discussed on the stand and visitors will have the chance to engage in debate with industry leaders on these topics.

Frazer Chesterman, managing director of Fespa says, “Revolutions start with the sharing of ideas, exchanging viewpoints with peers, discussing and debating topical issues. FESPA’s Digital exhibitions are an ideal platform to do this, contributing immeasurably to the forward movement of the industry.”

Meanwhile, Fespa add its Digital Textile Conference, entitled – Rising above the world recession – will help printers increase their knowledge of the digital textile sector and give them strategies to effectively deal with challenging economic conditions. Covering both commercial and technical topics, the conference’s 13 sessions, taking place over two days will examine trends and market opportunities.

One of the keynote speakers at the event will be John Ellery, vice-chairman of FEPE, the international association of outdoor advertisers. Ellery presentation will assess the current prospects for the outdoor market in Europe and other parts of the world, and the significance of textile applications in that market.
