Women In Print 2010 “best we’ve had”

With the final event set to take place in Adelaide this Thursday, organiser Angeline Wyatt, from Heidelberg, told ProPrint that more than 450 women had already attended the events in Perth, Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

"The feedback tells us it's the best we've had so far. In terms of numbers it's exceeded all the years we've had previously," she said.

"It's not something we could have seen coming, we expected numbers to be down given the movement of employees around the industry," added Wyatt.

Wyatt said the contribution of guest speaker Sandra Yates (pictured) generated most of the positive feedback.

Yates, a renowned figure in publishing as the former Fairfax Magazines chief executive and co-founder of co-founder of Sassy and MS magazines in the US, delivered a keynote speech on her "successes and failures" in the industry and what they have taught her.

"Sandra is a very inspiring speaker. The women in the audience have just been lapping up everything she had to say," Wyatt said.
