Women in Print event to be held during PacPrint

The Heidelberg Women in Print events this year sold out, attracting nearly 400 attendees to the functions held in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide.

Glenn Plummer, GM of product management and marketing at Heidelberg says it’s encouraging to have so many people and organisations on board supporting Women in Print, especially considering the current economic climate.

He says, “It continues to prove to Heidelberg that establishing women in print in Australia is a truly worthy initiative. It is also good that women from all walks of life in our industry participate and it’s fantastic to see so many young women involved. I see this as a great sign for the future of our industry.”

Another strong sign for the initiative is the continued commitment from sponsors, and in particular the three major sponsors; Bluestar Print Group, Heidelberg and GEON, according to Plummer.

Organisers say that the major highlight and real focal point of the 2009 Women in Print events was that attendees had the opportunity to catch up with colleagues, establish contacts and build new business relationships.

Heidelberg says that any women planning to go to PacPrint this year should set aside a couple of hours to attend the Women in Print Breakfast with more information to become available by the end of April.
