Wooldridge to lead the LIA

Luke Wooldridge will step up as the new Lithographic Institute of Australia (LIA) president, as Bernie Hockings bows out from the role. Wooldridge says new LIA initiatives will see it partner up with the PIAA and other industry associations to foster a collaborative environment and more opportunities for members. He says the association’s apprentice support and graduate awards are particularly important during tough times for the industry, and promises to keep the ship heading in the right direction as president.

The Kodak NSW and Queensland sales manager moves up from LIA vice president. Outgoing president and G2 managing director Hockings, who served in the role for two and a half years, says Wooldridge is a natural leader and will have the support of the entire LIA in his pursuit of a new future for the organisation. “We have seen some troubled times over the last few years but the LIA as a whole is strong and we believe the future is still full of great opportunities,” he says. “It has given me a great deal of pleasure to head up the LIA over the past few years and I am confident it will endure for some time to come.” Treasurer Ron Jackson will also step down and be replaced by long time LIA member Mike Williams. WA’s Roger Rankine moves up to vice president.
