Xennia unveils hat-trick of drupa launches

It teamed up with Croatian partner Hijet for the technology, and together they are using drupa to show off industrial single-pass printing using the Xaar printhead.

“The heart of a reliable industrial inkjet system, based on the Xaar 1001 head is the unique ink delivery system that recirculates ink through the printheads,” said Xennia.

“This is an unrivalled Xaar 1001-based industrial inkjet print platform. It can be applied to industrial applications where reliability is a pre-qualifier to success.”

Xennia is also using Drupa to show off two systems based on contrasting applications. The new XenJet X-treme 9000 machine is a ceramic tile printer.

The new XenJet X-plore 8000, meanwhile, is a narrow-web single-pass inkjet printer designed for packaging, labelling and pharmaceutical applications.

It uses an ALS press and runs Xennia UV curable Vivide inks at 24m per minute, said Xennia. And it boasts high-quality printing and greyscale resolution of over 1000dpi.

“We believe industrial production inkjet has come of age for reliable industrial applications,” it said.
