Xerox launches 80ppm DocuColor 8080 digital press

The 80ppm digital press is designed to cater for applications such as direct mail, booklets, marketing collateral and calendars.

The printer can output onto substrates up to 300gsm and features a low-gloss dry ink that offers a smooth matt-like finish to mirror offset quality, said Fuji Xerox.

The machine also includes Automated Color Quality Suite (ACQS), which is a set of software tools driven by the printer’s inline spectrophotometer. According to Fuji Xerox, this helps to automate colour management tasks with minimal operator involvement.

Henryk Kraszewski, graphic communications marketing manager at Fuji Xerox Australia, said: “Our focus is to help customers produce more jobs, reduce costs and grow their business. The DocuColor 8080 was built with this in mind.

“Technology like the DocuColor 8080 gives printers the power to expand capabilities, meet production demands, strengthen relationships with customers and capture more revenue.”

Xerox also offers a variety of finishing options for the DocuColor 8080 that include stacking, punching, coil binding, and booklet making.

The DocuColor 8080 will be available in Australia in September
