Adrian Fleming charged with driving Kodak’s Asian “growth engine”

Fleming started his new role of Asia-Pacific general manager of digital printing on 1 May. Kodak said the appointment reflected his digital expertise.

"The digital business is a growing segment in most countries in Asia, with levels of participation and market acceptance being wide and varied," according to Kodak.

"The customer knowledge and product experience in this area will give Fleming a strong grounding from which to grow the business across Asia."

Asia-Pacific managing director Lois Lebegue told ProPrint last year that "Asia-Pacific is our growth engine".

Fleming will initially be based in Australia to ensure a smooth transition for customers. He said he was looking forward to the challenge of working across the region's diverse markets.

"This is a great opportunity for the company and for me personally. The digital print market is extremely dynamic in the Asia-Pacific region and I am enthusiastic about working with customers to help grow this segment," said Fleming.

Steve Venn has replaced Fleming as managing director, a role he vacated in 2010 to become Asia-Pacific director of strategic account management and channels.

"I've learned a great deal working in the Asian markets and look forward to sharing this knowledge with our customers," said Venn.

"We've got a terrific team of highly committed people in Australia and I am keen to explore the opportunities in the market to create sustainable solutions for us all."

Kodak said Venn would continue to manage the company's Asia-Pacific strategic accounts, while a new appointment would soon be made to manage the regional channel.
