Alastair Hadley, sales director at Heidelberg ANZ says, “Our message at the show is that printers can embrace digital and offset production through Heidelberg, and particularly through the integrated solutions with Konica Minolta and Kodak.”
Heidelberg was showing printers its Anicolor offset press, with a Konica Minolta C8000 and Kodak workflow including its Storefront web to print solution. According to Hadley this combination will enable printers to meet the needs of the market in the most efficient way, catering for short run, variable data and longer run jobs.
The SM52 Anicolor press demonstrated its ability to produce print ready sheets with less than 20 sheets. Hadley says this makes the Anicolor ideal for short run high quality work, as well as for longer runs. He says, “It is economical to print down to 300 sheets on the Anicolor.”
Heidelberg also had the Polar 80 guillotine on show, which Hadley says is being installed in both offset and digital printers, thanks to its precision and ease of use.
