APP’s Tjiwi Kimia, Pindo Deli, Indah Kiat Serang and Indah Kiat Tangerang mills have each earned “Chain-of-Custody” certification according to the PEFC standard. This will allow the company to credibly claim that products from these mills come from sustainably-managed forests.
“Achieving the first Indonesian PEFC ‘Chain-of-Custody’ certification is an accomplishment for APP and an important step in the sustainability focus of the future,” said Aida Greenbury, APP’s director of sustainability and stakeholder engagement.
The company claims to have a long-term goal of producing completely carbon-neutral paper.
