Applications closing soon for Women in Print patron roles

The closing date to apply for the vacant Women in Print Patron roles in Queensland and New South Wales is approaching, with chair Stephanie Gaddin urging any interested parties to get their applications in before close of business on Thursday 31 October.

Gaddin said the roles are the perfect way for passionate individuals to champion the ‘next wave’ of women in print, packaging, signage and the broader visual media industry, and contribute to greater support, inclusion and equity across the sector.

“In particular, we would love to hear from women business owners and leaders who work in the signage, display and graphics sector, to bring their slightly different perspectives and views to the work done by our team, to ensure it represents the breadth and diversity of our exciting sector,” Gaddin said.

“These patron roles are some of the most fulfilling in our organisation, giving you the chance to lead with purpose and foster meaningful change within our sector – and of course to connect widely with our membership as you lead the State operations with purpose and passion.”

Outgoing NSW patron, Debbie Burgess, who is joint managing director of Bright Print Group, elaborates.

“What I wasn’t expecting was the friendships and camaraderie between the women on the board,” she says. “To know that you are standing alongside other women in the industry who are as passionate as you are about effecting change, being a voice, and supporting other women, is very satisfying.”

Those interested in taking on these exciting positions can apply online via this dedicated link or by downloading the application form at https://womeninprint.com.au/patron-application/.
