Art and Soul installs ColorSplash to increase profits

Digital print and sign company, Art and Soul, has installed a new Intec ColorSplash CS5100 printer, which it says will increase business profit in the small format print section.

Speaking with the Australian Printer, Art and Soul owner for 32 years John Nicholas says traditionally his business has neglected the small format printing jobs, and now he plans to win some of those jobs back. Nicholas says, “We have always sent those small jobs out but today every bit of business counts, and we are developing the small section to keep all jobs in-house. “The new section of the business will solely focus on small format printing, which granted is not a growing sector, but we want to offer customers flexibility and this machine allows us to do just that. “The printer is also great value for money as it has all the advances of the larger, more expensive machines, but costs less to buy.” Maria Gagetti from Onyx solutions, the Australian distributor for Intec digital printer, says anyone looking to add a different dimension with white/clear or wants to print on heavy stock or envelopes should invest in the printer. Onyx says the Intec ColorSplash CS5100, which is capable of printing onto envelopes, card, synthetic medias, polyester substrates, and magnetic, has been selling well in 2015. The company says the printer offers an extra station for white and clear toner as well as CMYK, with the promise of metallic gold and silver to come. It also offers up to 320gsm of duplex printing and will print up to 450gsm on stock up to 1.3m. Nicholas says after looking at three different printer manufacturers, Onyx was the clear winner, ‘because not only was it the most cost effective, but the customer service and staff support was brilliant’. “We literally went with Onyx because of Maria Gagetti, who has been outstanding with her support and giving us all we needed and more. She is an important element in this investment for us,” Nicholas adds. Nicholas opened his Sydney based ‘end-to-end solution business’, which provides services in graphic design, pre-press as well as manufacturing and installations, including printing, finishing, and distribution, in 1983.
