
The print company has also installed an HP Indigo 7500.
CTPS business development director John Currie said: “[The new machines] give us an extended scope of service to CTPS offerings within China and Asia Pacific.
“We have seen numbers come down in terms of offset, and the reduced production timeline in digital book production offers rapid replenishment to publishers’ stock inventory programs.”
Currie said the digital investments were the beginning of a long-term relationship with HP.
“We are changing our manufacturing base approaching inkjet as the new solution and we will be working with HP on this in the future.”
CTPS specialises in educational and medical books, which are exported to international publishers such as Pearson and Macmillan.
Currie said the T300 will run inline with a Muller Martini Sigma binding line.
CTPS said it specialises in lightweight paper stocks and claims to be “a leading innovator” in book cover printing using polyurethane and semi-polyurethane substrates.
