AsNew expands with Queensland office

The company, which specialises in selling barely-used printing and packaging equipment to local and overseas markets, is also on the hunt for an administration and operations manager for its Melbourne office.

Managing director Margaret Lucas has reported strong growth for the company over the past few months, despite the challenges faced.

“Sales are increasing and we have made the call to keep our stock levels low, and the sourcing-to-order approach is proving to be winner for our customers and vendors,” said Lucas.

“The banking crisis has shaken up the used equipment market but many printers around the globe are taking advantage of the price reductions to build their business. We receive over 400 feeds per day from equipment suppliers and have a buyer network of over 20,000 printers world-wide.”

Rachel Lucas, who has been tasked with assisting with the Queensland expansion, agrees that the market for used equipment has not diminished.

“Many of the customers that I help manage only came to us when they wanted to sell an old press, but are now coming to us to upgrade,” she said.

“Used late model machinery is available at unmatched prices and customers are aware that a 2-3 year old press or folder is just as productive as a new one.”
