Samantha Pudney, business development manager at Australian Paper told Australian Printer the guide can be used as a quick reference when choosing suppliers and manufactures of paper products.

She says, “Sustainability has been a growing factor in the market for some time now, with more and more people looking at the environmental credentials of a product before making their purchases. The Sustainable Paper Guide will enable users to easily asses all the sustainability factors of their paper choices including environmental, social and economic.”

Pudney continues, “The guide was developed as an education piece that could provide information, and act as a reference to the Australian print market.”

The Guide, which details Australian Paper’s sustainable paper grades, also includes a number of questions paper users can ask their suppliers that relate to sustainable fibre source, impacts on climate change and the impact of the manufacturer.
