Bob Lamont, NSW executive officer of the LIA says the event also provides the top apprentices with an opportunity to be together, where despite the stress of the judging process, they will have the opportunity to visit leading edge companies and meet in a social environment.
He says, “We could not stage such extensive programmes without the dedicated support of Heidelberg ANZ, GAMAA, Printing Industries and the Collie Print Trust and we are very grateful for their support and commitment.”
Meanwhile, Greg Grace, president of the LIA says it is very interesting to note that many past winners have gone on to leadership roles in the industry.
Grace says, “I would like to urge the key staff of Printing and Graphic technology employers to show their support for this event by turning out in force to support the young people who are our industry’s future.”
The celebration dinner will be held at the Australian National Maritime Museum on October 9.
