
The National Print Awards has announced that TV comedian Dave Thornton will be topping the bill this at this year’s presentation dinner.
Thornton has risen to comedy notoriety in Australia with his trademark self-deprecating humour making its mark on Talkin’ bout Your Generation, Good News Week, and Studio A.
The multi-award winning comedian has won fans over internationally with appearances at both the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and Endinburgh Film Festival.
NPA chairman John Wanless said: “We’re very excited to have Dave joining us at the National Print Awards dinner.”
“His easy, conversational humour will fit in beautifully with the style of the night, which is always focused on spending time with friends and colleagues, and we’re certain he’ll be a very popular choice with our guests,” he said.
NPA said the evening will also include a three-course meal and entertainment from hosts Larry Emdur and Gorgi Coghlan and Larry Emdur.
The association also noted that tickets were selling out fast.
