Paper merchant BJ Ball has joined forces with the Huber Group to distribute the full range of its Hostmann-Steinberg inks and consumables to southern and eastern Australian states. The company says customers can expect increased service levels and local technical support at all major cities across Australia as it begins distributing the 250-year-old supplier’s products from July 1. BJ Ball will roll out its iConsignment inventory management system to cover the graphics range of products, which assists printers in reducing inventory costs and driving efficiency, mainly as BJ Ball takes responsibility to stocking and replenishing inks and consumables in the print shop, with the printer paying on demand.
Sam Varughese, general manager graphics for BJ Ball, says the company wants to be the vendor of choice for its customers and a broad product offering, which is important to the print industry, will allow it to be just that. “Our alliance with Hostmann-Steinberg allows us to offer our customers the widest and most comprehensive choice of high quality products.” The two companies – Huber Group and BJ Ball – say they will further strengthen their sales and technical teams and have invested in equipment, which utilises the latest technology in colour management, ink dispensing and mixing. Managing director of Hostmann-Steinberg Australia, Ray Toal, says the paper merchant is the right partner for the company as BJ Ball shares its philosophy on quality and service delivery, and are committed to providing new solutions to the printing industry. Toal says, “As the Huber Group celebrates its 250th year in the printing industry we reflect on the many changes that have shaped our industry and are confident that the new Huber Group and BJ Ball alliance will enable us to set a new benchmark in the delivery of products and services to our customers.”
