BlueStar DM moves to new home, deploys iGen4

BlueStar claims it is the first mailing house in Australia and the first business in New South Wales to deploy the press, which will complement the two iGen3s already in operation at their Sydney and Melbourne sites.

The company is also planning to introduce a Nuvera 288EA Production Perfecting System, a Nuvera 144 EA Production System and an XMPie Enterprise site license.

“The new premises will allow us the ability to cater for the rising demand for personalised cross-media direct marketing campaigns,” said Kim Lykissas (pictured), executive general manager of Blue Star DM.

“During these challenging economic times our customers expect improved return on investment for their marketing dollar, and highly targeted and integrated cross media applications are proving to be very successful.”

“The productivity of digital presses – the amount of “uptime” we have on our systems to produce pages for our clients – will be virtually doubled with the installation of the colour and monochrome presses. The iGen4 has a range of automation that will improve productivity by up to 25 to 35 per cent, reducing the need to interrupt the press for adjustments.”

Fuji Xerox Australia’s national manager of production services, Simon Lane, said that his company was “delighted to have been chosen to support Blue Star DM in its further expansion in digital direct marketing.”
