Chief executive Jen Baile (pictured) said it was a necessary step in the company’s growth. “ISO standards are incredibly important as they are globally recognised as being the pinnacle of achievement.
“It means the management processes we have put into place in our business have been put to the test by an external auditor and have proven to meet and, in some cases, exceed strict international standards.”
It is the company’s second ISO badge; it was awarded ISO 9001 for quality management in June 2010.
Baile said ISO 14001 would let Bowden reassure clients they were not being greenwashed.
“It will allow us to take our environmental message to market and to target those customers for whom dealing with a print provider who has this standard of certification is an important factor,” she said.
“It will definitely be seen in a positive light in the government marketplace.”
