BPO wins $700,000 govt contract

BPO Intelligence, the printing and communications arm of international education outfit OCA Group, has won a WA government contract worth almost $700,000 to print and distribute promotional material to recruit overseas students for Australia’s west. The printer will provide integrated printing, storage, distribution, tracking and reporting of the promotional material over three years – sending out posters, flyers and brochures across the world for Education and Training International (ETI). ETI, a WA government agency, recruits and enrolls students from around the globe into courses and exchange programmes at Western Australian schools, TAFEs and English language centres.

The company will distribute the promotional materials on demand from its Indian warehouses to 350 ETI agencies all over the world, using an online ordering system. Most of ETI’s students are enlisted from Asia; it has 164 agents in China, 67 in Indonesia, 47 in Malaysia, 37 in Vietnam.

Naresh Gulati, CEO of OCA Group, says the job is right up BPO’s alley as an international education-focused printer. OCA Group, he says, provides overseas promotional services to 80 per cent of Australian universities and almost all the major TAFEs. He says, “We provide one convenient platform, including sophisticated monitoring tools, for ordering and distribution of anything needed to promote WA as an international student destination, from anywhere in the world. “The contract reinforces the client’s confidence in the quality of our services and the good market response to them. We strive to provide better value to clients and constant innovation.”
