Eight Mile Plains has won Mail Boxes Etc (MBE) franchise of the year for the second time in four years on the back of consistent sales growth.

The Brisbane franchise print shop placed in the top five per cent of sales every month last year despite starting from a greenfield site in only 2008.

Owner Neil Stenhouse says the store grew revenue by six per cent in 2014 and has grown an average of 15 per cent a year since its first year of operation.

“The success of my business sits around excellent staff and great customer service which results in loyal customers,” he says.

“We also have a philosophy of always saying to our customers ‘yes we can’, even in those situations when we are not sure how we will complete a job.

“And it goes without saying that business does not come to you – you have to be continually marketing and looking for opportunities

“There is an exceptional team working at the store, and I appreciate our loyal customers trusting us to help build their businesses.”

MBE Australia Managing Director, Clayton Treloar, said that MBE Eight Mile Plains won because of their strong customer focus and ongoing sales growth.

“Neil and his team are always leading the way when it comes to initiative and following company policies and guidelines” Mr Treloar said.

Eight Mile Plains was honoured at MBE’s national conference in Sydney, along with state winners Parramatta, NSW franchise of the year, and Queen St, Melbourne took out the Victorian franchise of the year.

The franchises provide marketing, design, digital and offset printing, courier services, and mail management to local businesses. MBE is a worldwide franchise of almost 1500 stores.
