Cadillac gets the nod for environmental excellence with ISO 14001

The company spent the past 12 months undergoing the Printing Industries Association’s Sustainable Green Print (SGP) program, attaining level three.

Cadillac plant manager Trevor Stone managed the process from start to finish, and said the company was fortunate to have the full backing of owner Sidwell.

“Wayne is very heavily behind becoming environmentally friendly so we had no trouble getting the support.”

Stone added that Cadillac’s workforce had worked hard to achieve the environmental accreditation.

“From the day Cadillac commenced the SGP program, all of the staff have been eagerly involved,” he said.

“The realisation of making a difference to the environment was enough of a goal to drive the challenge along.

“Now, after only 12 months, we can proudly say we are SGP3 and ISO 14001-certified, which is fantastic achievement by everyone involved,” he added.

Stone said the green program had already helped the business by reducing costs and identifying risks.
