Canberra agency to manage $1m spend for world leaders event

The agency has won a $900,000 contract to provide the Federal government with print services for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM), which will see delegations from many of the 54 Commonwealth nations descend on the Western Australian capital.

The contract runs until 4 November and covers design, print and production services, including includes publications, public information materials and printed merchandise. The event will run on 28-30 October.

Daniel Gleeson, director of media and communications for the CHOGM taskforce, said Grey Canberra was performing well under extremely tight deadlines.

Grey Canberra director of design and print services Chris Robey (pictured) told ProPrint the high-profile job would strengthen the agency’s credentials.

“The contract represents a great opportunity for us to showcase the value and precision, with which we can manage such a complex group of projects,” he said.

“We’re using suppliers from all over Australia, but concentrating mainly in WA, except when production complexities require otherwise.”
