Canon announces agreement with RMIT University

Canon says the key outcome of these courses is the customer’s ability to accelerate the return on investment in Canon technologies. The company adds that the new digital press will enable the IGCT to teach a full JDF workflow on one machine.

Colin Fudge, Pro Vice-Chancellor of RMIT University says, “Providing students with the technology that they will face in the industry is critical to their career success. The follow up courses, they might then receive as Canon customers, will help them extract the most value from the technologies in commercial environments.”

Fudge continues, “The contribution of this technology also helps IGCT maintain its position of offering the best and most appropriate technologies to train on.”

Meanwhile, Kenji Kobayashi, managing director of Canon Australia says the imagePRESS technology is both stand-alone and complementary to off-set print environments, where it is often used as an additional revenue generator.

Kobayashi continues, “The skill set you develop when using the imagePRESS reflects the breadth of our industry. We are pleased to partner with RMIT to help grow Australia’s next print generation and look forward to further developments in our relationship.”
