Canon Australia adds imagePROGRAF iPF8000 to large-format portfolio

The imagePROGRAF iPF8000 offers users colour accuracy, consistency and stability due to Canon’s revolutionary 12-colour LUCIA pigment ink system. This system ensures optimum print quality with improved media compatibility and colour range.

The imagePROGRAF iPF8000 also offers the broadest colour gamut available in class with the addition of red, green and blue inks, as well as separate grey and photo grey inks. In this way the iPF8000 answers the market’s strong demand for accurate colour reproduction on a variety of media, especially in the art and photographic arenas.

Increased productivity is another benefit of the imagePROGRAF iPF8000 which offers high speed printing thanks to the innovative twin head design consisting of two 1-inch high-density print heads with 30,720 individual nozzles. To ensure high definition and delicate colour graduation, the imagePROGRAF iPF8000 distributes ink droplets with great accuracy, thanks to FINE (Full Photolithography Inkjet Nozzle Engineering) technology.

Further increasing efficiency, a high-speed controller processes images quickly and executes three types of processing: high-speed print processing, image processing and high-quality print processing with glossy/art paper.

The Canon iPF8000 is an ideal large format printer for printing posters, utilising its unique technologies to produce vividness of colour, high black density, high quality text appearance and solid image consistency on all media types at a speed that is leading the industry.

The iPF8000 supports two types of black inks – matte and gloss – which can be interchanged without any loss. The ink tanks can be replaced during printing, which helps maximise productivity.

A four-way media feeder enhances flexibility: via a cassette, roll and manual feed from the front and top of the device. Two types of media are available at any one time, so the device is as productive as possible.

To ensure usability, the imagePROGRAF iPF8000 comes with Canon’s PosterArtist and Digital Photo Print Professional software as standard. Also included are print plug-ins for Adobe Photoshop and Canon’s own Digital Photo Professional software. PosterArtist was developed in Sydney at Canon Information Research Systems Australia (CISRA), Canon’s largest research centre outside of Japan and one of Australia’s largest private R&D facilities.

The imagePROGRAF iPF8000 can be configured to an existing network and has been designed to ensure ease-of-use and effective print management.

The Canon imagePROGRAF iPF8000 is available now from dealers throughout Australia at an RRP of $9515 including GST.
