Change of MD at Ferag Australia

Markus Haefeli led Ferag in Australia for nearly six years during which time he was instrumental in establishing the company as a major graphic arts equipment, consumables and service provider in the region.

“This has been a very successful and enjoyable chapter for myself and Ferag Australia but the time is right to move on,” says Haefeli. “I would like to thank all my colleagues, customers and friends in the industry for their support over the past few years. Their enthusiasm and dedication is what makes working in the graphic arts so rewarding.”

Guido Steffen, CEO of WRH Marketing in Switzerland, says the company very much regretted Haefeli’s decision to leave but understood his motivation to pursue other interests.

“Markus has built Ferag Australia into a very stable, successful and recognised company which, in many respects, was and is a benchmark for all of us,” says Steffen. “We are very thankful for his entrepreneurial engagement and wish him well for his future.”

Thomas Klumpp will relocate from Zürich inSwitzerland to Sydney to take up the position of managing director, commencing April 1, 2006. This will allow for a smooth transition to the new role over the coming months.

Klumpp is unquestionably well-qualified and motivated to continue to build on the success of Ferag Australia,” says Steffen. “We are sure he will be successful in his new role.”

Klumpp has been working for WRH Marketing – the mother company of Ferag Australia – for the past five years. In his corporate role he was responsible for the worldwide trade-business of the group as well as a number of subsidiaries in several European countries such as Italy, Spain and Poland.

“I am looking forward to these new challenges,” says Klumpp. “To serve the important Australian and New Zealand market and to further develop Ferag Australia is an exciting and motivating task.”
