Yves Roussange, managing director of Enfocus, with a background in prepress, started the company in 2005. He says, “Back then, I saw some positive opportunities in standardisation. Colour process is based on standardisation so Enfocus became an early adopter of certification, receiving our first Fogra certification in 2007.

At PrintEx11, the company is show casing Enfocus Switchbox. Roussange says, “This is a solution that we came up with after drupa 2008. If you are a printer who has several technologies that cost hundreds of thousands of dollars then Switchbox has application to automate that technology together to make things run smoothly. Switchbox integrates several of the best products such as PitStop Server, PitStop Connect, Callas PDF toolbox 5, Axaio, basicolor ghost and Elpical Claro-Single to achieve the best outcome for our clients.

“Any printer can use this software. The big advantage is that you are reducing human intervention on documents. Look at the digital printing market. Printers receive all sorts of documents, which all needs to be standardised to a printable PDF. At the moment, many are doing this manually.

Large format printing is the fastest growing segment in outdoor advertising and we hope to capitalise on that. The cost of errors in large format is huge so if you have the right technology, you can save money with zero errors.

On Thursday morning, Enfocus and Colour Process will host a seminar at

8am at Novotel Rockford Darling Harbour. Roussange says, “Breakfast is provided and registration is free. We will also run a seminar at Novotel Glen Waverley in Melbourne on May 1.”
