CPI aims to cut carbon by 15 per cent

In support of this aim, the group is also introducing a range of carbon neutral paper under the newly launched Project Low Carb.

Channelled through their two largest fine paper businesses – CPI Paper and Raleigh Paper – the drive has been to bring a number of key brands to market as “paper made carbon neutral”, according to the company.

CPI adds that the Carbon Reduction Institute (CRI) has conducted product life cycle assessments and assisted in the management of carbon credits to offset emissions for specific brands.

The CRI has also audited direct greenhouse gas emissions of the CPI Group which includes CPI Paper, CPI Inks, CPI Graphics, Raleigh Paper, ED Office Products and Boomerang Paper.

The company says, “The CPI Group recognises the importance of good environmental practice and the impact that its operations may have on the environment.

“The aim of Project Low Carb and the Group’s Environmental Policy is to operate within and to adopt responsible environmental practices.”
