In its announcement on December 15 2003, CPI advised that the December 31 2003 CPS dividend would not be paid. Following this, a number of CPS shareholders have recently made inquiries with CPI regarding the June dividend payment that would be payable on or about June 30 2004.

Bernard Cassell, CPI managing director, says, “The Board has considered the likely retained earnings for the Group as at June 30 2004 and determined that sufficient retained earnings will not be available to enable the CPS dividend payment to be paid for the six months ended June 30 2004.

“This is consistent with the position outlined in our announcement dated December 15 2003.
Consequently no CPS dividend will be paid in respect to the six months to June 30 2004.”
