Culver joins with a 20 year background in digital wide format printing, working for suppliers of both hardware and media in Australia and the UK. He spent several years working for Agfa’s biggest inkjet dealer in the UK, before joining Fujifilm there, and then transferring here with the company last year.
He says, “I know the Agfa solutions through and through and can say confidently they will perform and deliver real benefits to printers and signmakers :
Culver will be responsible for developing Agfa’s digital business directly to customers, and includes the Anapurna entry level and Jeti mid range wide format printers.
Steve Taylor, Agfa’s Oceania inkjet manager says, “We at Agfa are very fortunate to be able to appoint someone of Mike Culver’s pedigree; his knowledge of the market, and of Agfa, is second to none. We believe the signage and display industries in NSW and Queensland will certainly benefit from his insights and analysis.”
Culver says he is looking to significantly increase Agfa’s share of the market, a market which according to Agfa is continuing to expand. Culver says, “The wide format market is growing day by day, and will continue to do so. The range of solutions from Agfa will enable print and signage businesses to exploit that growth to the full, and so grow their own businesses.”
