DaVinci paints a positive picture

Oliver Mergen, director sales and marketing at Davinci, says, “PrintEx11 was fantastic for us. People showed a lot of interest in the products perhaps because DaVinci is a now a very established product in the market.”

The company highlighted its new internet modules. Mergen says, “We made the point that they can be used on mobile devices like iPads or androids. So reps can sit down with customers and get quotes done immediately and make the sale on the spot. Printers love that solution. They can turn around their estimates much quicker and it can increase their bottom line.

“The important thing is that DaVinci is not based on any template; it can make a quote for any product any size. It’s not based on price lists. It creates the estimate as an estimator would. Our estimates are based on machine rates, hourly rates and true paper costs.”

Comparing this show to others, he says, “I think it was a good show though numbers were down, but the quality of interest was better. There were more decision makers than just tyre kickers. Also, it was a great thing to shorten it because it was more compressed and there was a better flow of people.”
