Doggett invests in twin sheeters

Simon Doggett, managing director, KW Doggett says, “We chose to invest in the new technology to improve the quality of our service offering and assist the company’s growth strategy, particularly in order to meet the growing demands of the packaging sector.”

Packaging is a key product portfolio for KW Doggett and the company is eager to enhance their service offering with better sheeting results, increased output and speed.

James McGrath, NSW state manager, KW Doggett says, “We installed our original sheeter over two years ago and our objective was to provide a customised service to the NSW packaging market.”

McGrath says, “This also opened new opportunities in the printers market for specialised sheeting requirements. The new sheeter will make our production capabilities even better by providing quicker turnaround times and increased output. It will also allow us to offer a larger range of sizes.”

In Victoria, the machine will complement the current SHM machine. Cameron Backman, Victoria state manager, KW Doggett says, “It’s important that we keep our equipment up to date. Soon we will have some of the most modern sheeting facilities in the country thanks to the TSKM.”

Steve Brimbie, vice president of sheeter sales, MarquipWardUnited says, “We are clearly delighted to be selected as a technology partner for such a high profile company as KW Doggett. We have worked closely together to study the current and future needs of the Australian printing and packaging market and I feel confident that sheets delivered from this machine will maximise the potential of the many high speed modern printing presses in the region.”

The TSKM are configured to run both paper and board with one machine able to feed large sheet sizes up to 1650x2080mm. It runs at a maximum speed of 335m per minute.
