On eleven days (from 9am and 11am), the Compass Sessions will tackle
digital printing, digital workflows, offset printing, web-to-print solutions,
printed electronics, premedia and packaging printing. Over 40 international
speakers will help participants get their bearings among the broad scope of
offerings at drupa.
The Compass Session on Wednesday, June
4 will focus on printed electronics and, unlike all the others, extend over
four hours from 9am to 1pm. Jointly organised with the Organic Electronic
Association (OE-A), the seminar will include reports by high-calibre speakers
and representatives of leading companies from Germany and abroad on the latest
developments in this rapidly growing market.
The Compass Sessions coordinated by
the Print & Media Forum AG will benefit from contributions by James Harvey
of the USA, Prof. Arved Hübler from Germany, Stephan Jaeggi of Switzerland,
Wolfgang Mildner of Germany, Menno Mooij of the Netherlands, Frank Romano from
the USA, Florian Süßl from Germany, David van Driessche from Belgium, David
Zwang from Belgium and many more. Acting as cooperation partners to the Compass
Sessions will be Ghent Working Group, Fachverband Faltschachtel-Industrie
(folding carton association – FFI), Pro Carton Deutschland and the Organic Electronic
Association (OE-A).
Combined with a light breakfast, the
Compass Sessions in the Congress Center East at the Düsseldorf Trade Fair
Center form the ideal start to the drupa day. As well as providing information,
they also offer an ideal meeting point to get together with colleagues and
exchange news and views at an international level. A drupa admission ticket is not
needed to access the Congress Center East. The conference languages will be
German and English (simultaneous interpreting). Participation will cost Euro75
per day. Members of the print and media associations as well as the cooperation
partners will be admitted for a reduced fee of Euro60. Bookings for the desired
Compass Sessions can be made in advance on the Web site www.compass-sessions.de.
Registration on site will also be possible.
