The
new deal came into effect on January 1 and is a natural progression for DS
Chemport, which already represents the Vulcan brand throughout South East
Asia. DS Chemport will handle all sales and technical support in Australia and New
Zealand.
As
part of the arrangement, DS Chemport is investing more than A$ 1.8m in new
2,000 sq metre warehousing
The
new facility in Melbourne will enable
the company to take delivery of two metre wide blanket rolls direct from
Trelleborg's Italian factory and convert them into formats suitable for the
markets it serves.
Graham
McKenzie, CEO of DS Chemport says, "We don't take on new distributorships
lightly and we're very excited about the opportunities opened to us in Australia and New
Zealand by the Trellebrog Vulcan range. We
believe it's the best blanket on the market and provides significant advantages
to printers, whether they operate in the sheet-fed commercial, web offset or
newspaper sectors."

web offset presses to staples for saddle stitching
