Durst rolls out new inkjet engine

The flagship of the Rho inkjet range of offerings, Rho IP is targeted at the production of membrane switches, instrument panels, dashboards, cover plates and pad printing applications, for which the templates can be mounted on the table.

The standard table is 300x600mm in size and uses mechanical pin registration plus applied vacuum through microscopic pores in an aluminium plate.

The company said the machine features up to five ink channels (CMYK plus white) with six heads per channel. The engine can be equipped with up to 15,000 nozzles, producing a print speed of 8 seconds per bed in single-pass mode, or 20 seconds per bed in scanning four-colour mode.

Variable data printing can also be included in the four-colour scanning mode.
