Entry level inkjet launched by Vutek

Priced at US$99,000 the UltraVu 260 solvent, roll-to-roll printer, making its debut at the ISA Show in Las Vegas, will help businesses looking to expand their current capabilities attract new revenue from jobs requiring superior image quality and faster turnarounds, says the company.

Available as a six-color model, the UltraVu 260 prints true 360 dpi quality output on hundreds of uncoated materials up to 103 inches (261cm) wide or 102 inches (259cm) full bleed.

Vutek claims image quality will satisfy the most demanding customer requirements, and says the UltraVu 260 operates at a significantly lower cost per square foot than older electrostatic technology or even multiple low-volume wide format printers, and at much faster speeds.

The UltraVu 260 will allow shops to generate high-quality output at high speeds, which Vutek claim will expand their business and enable them to make more profits on applications like POP advertising, window displays, floor graphics, posters, fleet graphics, and outdoor banners and signs.

Target availability of the UltraVu 260 is mid-year 2005.
