Esko-Graphics’ Jean-Pierre De Moor presented a picture of a company focused firmly on its twin markets of packaging and commercial print, at PacPrint.
DPX 4 is a new 4-up platesetter for high quality performance on polyester plates. Features
include internal drum exposure, built-in processor with active replenishment, variable resolutions from 1200dpi to 3000dpi, and plate sizes up to 680x750mm. It is being sold here through Currie
& Company.
Also featured is the latest version of the company’s successful workflow solution, BackStage 2.0.
BackStage incorporates all aspects of packaging pre-production including integrating graphics, image retouching, structural design, flexible multi-purpose rip and digital proofing solutions.
BackStage can be used as a workflow server component for Scope, Esko-Graphics’ workflow environment and can also serve as a stand-alone prepress automation.
Throughout each step of the workflow, BackStage improves the communication to other graphic or non-graphic systems and drastically reduces errors.
