CMYKhub has opened the doors to its new Keilor Park premises near Tullamarine in Melbourne.
Sprinter was offered one of the first tours of the new premises which operates across two separate levels – with offset printing, bookbinding, die cutting and folding located on the bottom level and all wide format production as well as DTF, soft signage and label production located on the upper level.

According to CMYKhub national wide format manager, Alan Nankervis, the layout of the new premises has been meticulously planned from the outset to deliver an efficient movement and flow for the printing production process.
“We came up with this concept of short movement to keep our workflow moving. We have created a double-storey factory to decrease the travel through the building. Nothing travels through the building more than 70 metres – we are travelling less distance than we were before and the work is flying out the door.
“That’s what our customers want and that is all our customers care about. It starts at the stock room, and then through the print room, through finishing departments and then out the door. We are aiming to have all of the machines in and running for the opening on Friday 14 November,” Nankervis said.

The only hiccup faced during the transfer of products to the new premises was the requirement to invest in a bespoke scissor lift to install the two new EFI machines on to the upper level of the new premises.
“We realised that purchasing a scissor lift was the only option and it has since turned out to be very valuable as we are now going to be in production a lot faster than we initially planned,” Alan Nankervis said.
“The new Komori has been up and running for a couple of months now. We ran down the other machine at our premises in Heidelberg and transferred a lot of the work across to this machine. We are very happy with this machine and the way it has been running,” said CMYKhub communications manager, Glen Francis.
Other equipment now installed at the new premises include:
- The world’s first EFI VUTEk Q3h XP, EFI VUTEk Qh X as well as the EFI VUTEk FabriVue dye-sublimation printer purchased in 2024
- An HP Indigo 100K installed in 2020
- The Canon varioPRINT iX3200 B3 press purchased at drupa
- The Boxway FitSize 2500 box maker purchased at APPEX in 2024
- The AGP DTF printer purchased at PacPrint
