Fahy appointed CEO at McPherson’s

Fahy joined McPherson’s Limited in June 1989, ironically the same day as Gatehouse. He was appointed chief financial officer in 1995 and rejoined McPherson’s Printing Group (MPG) as general manager Commercial in January 2003.

His previous positions have included CFO of the Gandel Group, CFO of ANL Limited and various senior financial roles within Repco Corporation (including three years in USA).

Fahy has been involved with printing in one form or another for more than 16 years, including stints with William Brooks-Telstra Directories as well as MPG.

McPherson’s Printing Group has around 400 employees and over $75m turnover, generated at production plants in Maryborough and Mulgrave, Vic. It is a national supplier to major trade and non-traditional publishers, predominantly of mono and four-colour books (both limp bound and hard cased) and book-like products such as catalogues, digital loose-leaf, race books, directories and manuals.

Among its equipment are several one and two colour web offset presses and three eight colour sheetfed. The company employs CTP in prepress and has extensive in house binding facilities as well as warehousing and fulfilment services.
