The new JobFolio product range includes
conveying systems and various processing and finishing units. Those currently
available include JobStack, a compensating stacker, JobFeed, which is a log
feeder, and strapping unit available in either semi automatic or manual
versions, known as JobStrap.
More products in the JobFolio line will be
released by Ferag as they are developed, and visitors to drupa will see all
products in action.
Thomas Klumpp, managing director of Ferag
Australia says, "JobFolio is aimed at the whole range of printers;
sheetfed, web offset, small newspapers, mailing houses, for long, medium and
short run work.
"Job Folio will provide a robust line
of finishing solutions, built in uncomplicated reliable technology that will
perform for our customers from day one. JobFolio has been designed specifically
for ease of use. Furthermore JobFolio will have the full service support of
Ferag technicians."
One interesting aspect of JobFolio is that Ferag
has decided to introduce fixed pricing for the products. JobFeed for instance
is priced at Euro13,900, while the semi automated version of JobSTrap is
Euro3,950. Klumpp says, "WRH Marketing (Ferag's parent company) decided to
approach the market in a different way. In keeping with the simplicity concept
of JobFolio it was decided to publish prices, which are fixed, to make the
whole buyng and selling process easier."
JobFolio was launched at an Open House in Sydney, attended by
some of the country's biggest printers including Hannanprint and Offset Alpine,
as well as three man operations such as trade finisher Binding Works,
highlighting the diverse size of companies that JobFolio is aimed at.
