FESPA Digital a sell out

The show – which takes place at the RAI Exhibition Centre, Amsterdam, from May 16 – 18, 2006 – will now play host to more than 162 main exhibitors over a total 16,250sqm of exhibition space.

The exhibitor list includes major suppliers such as Agfa, Durst, Esko, Luescher, MacDermid, Mactac, Mimaki, Ocè, NUR Europe and Sun Chemical, with the most recent additions including Avery Dennison, DuPont, Ergosoft, Forsttrom, Hollanders, HP, KonicaMinolta, Miller Weldmaster, Nazdar, Onyx, Scitex Vision and VUTEk.

Visitors will also have a unique opportunity to meet a plethora of new suppliers to the sector, since over 30 per cent of companies participating in FESPA Digital Printing Europe are first time FESPA exhibitors.

FESPA Exhibitions Director Frazer Chesterman says the support FESPA Digital Printing Europe 2006 has received from the vendor community is a massive endorsement of their strategy to address the trend towards digital production with a tailored event.

“FESPA Digital has been designed from the ground up to provide European visitors with an incomparable chance to see and learn about the commercial opportunities which digital output can offer screen printers, from signage and retail POS, to some of the exciting emerging industrial applications for digital print, including output on textiles, glass, ceramic, wood and other challenging substrates,” says Chesterman. “The conference programme, in particular, emphasises our commitment to giving visitors valuable insights and information that they can take with them to actively improve their businesses.”

The conference programme at FESPA Digital aims to help printers maximise the productivity and functionality of the equipment they already have, as well as inspiring them regarding possible investment and innovation. A host of international speakers will share their knowledge, covering both existing and emerging applications for digital printing.
Speakers include highly-regarded vendor spokespeople, industry consultants and commentators, academics and successful print service providers. Open question and answer sessions with panel speakers will give delegates the opportunity to share the knowledge and insights of the speakers more fully.

“We launched FESPA Digital with complete confidence, based on the visitor research and exhibitor focus groups we had undertaken”, says Chesterman. “However, ultimately, the proof of the pudding is in the eating. The fact that suppliers have backed FESPA Digital so enthusiastically is a gigantic step towards delivering a high calibre event that will exceed people’s high expectations of FESPA.

“Interest from international visitors is already extremely high, before our concentrated visitor promotion activity has even begun in earnest, and we sincerely believe that May’s event will deliver for exhibitors and visitors alike.”

FESPA Digital Printing Europe 2006 will be followed in June 2007 by the main FESPA screen and digital printing exhibition in Berlin. FESPA is also already in discussion with a number of European exhibition venues regarding a FESPA Digital event in 2008, to meet exhibitor demand for a frequent cycle of pan-European digital events to reflect the shorter product lifecycles of digital manufacturers.
