Finsbury and Blue Star win $2.7m RMT contract

Finsbury Green and Blue Star have scored multi-million dollar NSW government contracts, but not for printing.

The NSW Roads and Maritime Services is handing out more than $2.7m of extra work to the two print companies for their warehousing capabilities and print management services.

The $2m contract for Finsbury Green’s commercial print management services will see the company parcel out the work among its print suppliers through its Sourceit portal, which streamlines requests for quotation, procurement and job management.

The contracts were not won through a competitive tender; the printers were selected because they are part of a NSW Government panel.

Blue Star has used its seven-year relationship between with the department to book the $745,000 contract for warehousing and distribution, through its logistics section Blue Star Connect.

The contract will run until March 2016 with extension options.
