First Goss Universal 75 goes in

The Laodong Daily has been a Goss user since 2000 when it installed its first Goss Community press. The company is breaking new ground
with the installation of the latest generation press from the Goss Universal press series. The Goss Universal 75 press offers advanced features to
satisfy the demand of Laodong Daily’s need for increased color pages and higher quality standards. Being a technology leader has been a key factor
for Laodong Daily’s success.

The press is configured as two four-high Goss Universal 75 towers, one rotary folder and three reelstands and is capable of printing 12 pages
broadsheet or 24 pages tabloid pages in full colour.

The press is now in full production at the new printing centre in Shanghai producing one of the most popular newspapers in the area. Rick Kordas,
regional manager Goss Asia Pacific, said, “Goss and Laodong Daily have been partners for a number of years. As its production requirements have
expanded, Goss has been developing a new generation press that now better meets these increased needs. Goss is proud of its association with the Laodong Daily and providing them with the first high speed, shaftless Goss Universal 75 press not only in China but also the world.”

After the opening ceremony Goss hosted a Universal Users seminar, which offered the opportunity for existing Goss Universal users to share knowledge, skills and ideas. Senior consultants from the China Newspapers
Association Xia Tian Jun and Liu Bing Zheng participated in the event and commented, “The Goss Universal press line has been well accepted
in the Chinese market and the first installation of the Universal 75 press at Laodong Daily provides newspapers with not only higher productivity but
also greater flexibility and higher levels of automation.”
