Flexible packaging to be the topic of next AIP technical dinner

On the night, Terry Waterson, director, Metalprint Australia and Neale Gillin, business development manager, Amcor Flexibles will cover the new innovations and developments in the flexible pouch market including Spouted Pouches for food and wine, Corner Zip pouches for easy pour and dosing, Pouches with paperboard sleeves, Pouches with new opening features.

Metalprint Australia and Amcor Flexibles have an Alliance Partnership in Australia for the pre-eminent Cheerpack spouted pouch packaging system and technology.

Pouch packs from Hosokawa Yoko Japan, Guangzhou Secure Packaging China, Gualapack Italy and Amcor Flexibles Europe will be presented and on display.

The presentation will support the AIP’s charter of education and professional development for AIP Members.

The AIP outlines that Terry Waterson is a past president of the AIP and most of his career in packaging has been with the flexibles segment of the packaging industry. Waterson has access to the latest technology and trends in pouches from Japan, China and Italy.

Meanwhile, Neale Gillin’s career in packaging covers three decades and as business development manager for Amcor Flexibles, his role encompasses the introduction of innovative pouch packaging to the Australian market, according to the AIP.
